Selected Cake Designs

I am a professional cake designer by trade. I began as a prep worker in 2022 with no prior cake experience; by 2023, I transitioned into my apprenticeship where I learned how to ice and decorate. In 2024, I became a full fledged cake designer.

Cake hybridizes many of the forms I work in as an artist: it utilizes drawing, painting, sculpting, and so many other facets of making. The work I do as a cake designer enriches my personal practice and vice versa. I especially enjoy the ephemerality and relative speed of the medium; it is here to be enjoyed and then it is gone. It is an honor to be on this journey and I look forward to seeing how I continue to grow in all aspects of my craft.
