Meet the Artist.
I am a multi-disciplinary artist based in Dayton, Ohio. I hold a BFA in Studio Art (with a concentration in Photography and Integrated Media) and a minor in African American Studies (researching geography, red lining, and media/cultural production) from Ohio University.
My work processes existential spiritual questions, intergenerational healing, and the material realities of our cultural narratives. From embroidery and beadwork, to drawing, to large-scale paper-based installations, my work is unified by ephemerality and the exploration of whose labor is valued and why. I believe it is important to live in the world as an artist, and I value the through lines of accessible materials and subjects because creativity is a power we should all harness.
